King Crab Fishing

King Crab

They are huge, blue blood crabs that taste amazing and are super fun to fish! King crab fishing is a must do when visiting Lapland. But watch their claws!

You get to go King Crab Fishing straight from Inari, Finland

The trip takes the whole day and we start at 8:00am. There is many factors that can bend the trip or make it shorter, so we can’t give precise drop-off time.

Your guide comes to get you from your accommodation in the morning and brings you back there in the evening.

The road

Comfortable and roomy van for the road

We drive 215km from Inari to Norway. Our destination is a small fisherman village Bugøynes. The journey offers beautiful scenery.

We drive there by 2021 Fiat Ducato. There is five passenger seats, fridge, microwave, aircondition and bluetooth audio.

Fishing

You will get your picture taken too

Depending where the traps are at the moment, we drive some kilometers out to the ocean. You get good waterproof clothing from our captain and you’re really getting to join in the work on the boat.

Dinner

They really know how to cook King Crab in Norway

You get to eat your own catch when we come back from the sea. And trust me, you will get your stomach full.

It can be a little messy to eat the crabs. Remember this when choosing your clothing.

Sea water is around 8 degrees of celsius around the year
Beautiful beach to take a swim in the Arctic ocean
Best lookout in Eastern Finnmark of Norway
Fishing for coalfish is always good

It is possible to stay over night for more activities!

One day is enough for the King crabs, but if you want to take sauna and swim in the sea, fish for coalfish and cod, or go hiking the Norwegian mountains; then we should stay over night.
